There were a couple of bad merges & brothers were mixed up. I’ve fixed that & progessing to making sure the rest of this generation is detailed, and Then will relationship lock it all. Sourcing help appreciated.

I need help please. I merged and John Wallis Hyder, Sr is showing up correctly, his mother Catherine (my 4th GGM) is but his father isn't connecting to me for some reason. Will someone see if you can figure out the problem? He is also my 4th GGF but this is what it says,

i dont know How to describe what is happening here. This is my 5th GGF and he shows up to me as such William Walters His son, who should show up as my 4th GGF shows up as this relationship with me Elijah Ely Walters is your 9th great uncle's second great niece's husband. His profile Elijah Ely Walters Now when I click his son who is my 3 GGF he shows up as such. His profile. Elijah Walters I can't figure out what the problem is. If this is an easy fix please tell me what to do to handle it if I run across this problem again. Thank you all!!!

'side-bar' to Lisa (and other thread viewers!):
This is a case where the path from you to Elijah Ely (4th GGF) was previously calculated before all the current 'connections' were in place establishing the more direct path.

Relationship paths are 'cached' (not recalculated automatically); if there is a little "circle of arrows" (sort of like a recycling symbol) next to relationship text, then you can click that to force a re-calculation.

In this case, that "fixed" the relationship to be what you'd expect. (It doesn't always match what one might expect, though, with more "distant" relationships.)

There is a 'wait-time' before you can force a recalculation on a profile; if you don't see the symbol, wait some days and check again.
