2) marched fictional the new fresh tress of Private User (2 day ago)
3) contacting her here now to explain that that tree already exists and is very detailed and very delicate..
4) if she needs to be connected we can certainly do it in a more easier recent point ^^'
ok i think i found a graft point.. or at least where her new fresh tree begins to add a couple of missing BRO
- Antoine Charles Comeaux, II
- Antoine Charles Comeaux, II
(add profiles older than this will only be hundreds and hundreds of clones to be merged for years)
I may have made two giant errors, but am not positive:
1) potentially removed an entire part of a tree belonging to someone else (Randy Schoenberg) and
2) split multiple parts of my family tree
My understanding is that this group can potentially help me undo #2 in order to figure out whether or not my hunch about #1 is correct? Thank you!!!
Not enough evidence for these merges. Please undo.

Livio Scremin I'm a bit confused about exactly what it is that you're suggesting. I'm not sure why I was tagged and would greatly appreciate if my profile is NOT deleted or merged for any unnecessary reason. If there are any problem with my information then someone should send me a personal message.
Respectfully, Philip
Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087, As a basic user you can merge profiles that you manage, that are in your family group and public profiles of managers with whom you collaborate.
You can also access those profiles from the Geni search screen.
There are some user guides available that give more detailed information.
Some of those are:

Thank you @Job
I figured that out.
I can't tag you though lol
Thinking HOW BASIC is a Basic that I can't tag you? lol Seriously...that is likely a glitch but I have a whole litany of issues that may go unresolved...IMHO.
You see, I started my own Geni several years ago but gave up quickly because it was difficult to maneuver ad even though I connected my DNA almost immediately, few of those matches ever showed anything but NO PATH.
The only reason I upgraded was to be able to get the very most out of Geni and even then, there are limitations.
Is very frustrating. I can figure out how to go around a HARD stop but I think perhaps more people would stay and more people would have better trees and info HERE if only for a few small, short, little changes starting with make a subscription payable over time. I have been an Ancestry member since the 1990's and had to cancel once because of the expense. This is a luxury to work a genealogy. No one lives or dies because of anything worked out or left undone or mismatched here... I work in healthcare. I know the difference but there are so many people interested in finding out more about their roots and Geni would certainly benefit from making it easier for people to "play" on the Geni playground.
And I am not exaggerating when I stated above that I took a year off to work on Geni. Year is up. I returned to work. But I STILL want to work on my Geni tree and add here in order to connect to those NO PATH folks.
So this is more frustrating than "fun" while I figure out the new limits of my old Basic Geni that I never wanted to use...
Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087,
To tag you can just copy the link to the profile (like I did for you by copying it from the message above)
Ok. THIS is my 6th great grandfather and a mastered profile and a duplicate sits in my merge center but I cannot merge it? I thought a Basic user was able to merge family?

Boy oh boy...
There are work-arounds for most obstacles on Geni. I have been a basic user for many years and had very little problems because of that. But it was a steep learning curve. There is much information available on how to get things done on Geni even if you are a Basic users.
The most important for a basic user is you have to collaborate with other users to work efficiently. That also means being careful when merging and cleaning up after a merge by solving any additional merges and resulting data conflicts in such a way that others want to collaborate with you. I does help to add sources to a profile before trying to merge are ask for a merge here.
Also realize that merging profiles with no dates is very error prone and unmerging might not be perfect.
Basic Free Geni is a frustrating thing and is why so many people come here and leave, come back and make a mess and then leave to never come back. IMHO
I think am done for the day.
I have people that collaborate with me so that I can help THEM. I am trustworthy and a good steward.
Yikes what a yucky day.
If the @ tag does not work, go to the profile for that person. "Cntrl C" the numbers after the name for the profile. Back in the discussion, "Cntrl V" the numbers where the "xxx" is in "[[xxx]]". You need both brackets for it to work.
Some names I can get with the @. Others, I can't because I have so many of that name in my tree.
I cannot merge, Job Waterreus so I do not understand the comment...is appreciated but thinking I will redo how I work on my ancestry. So many simple easy changes to the process would make things so much easier.
An interesting experience, this Geni... I do believe I added more than I took away. But I CHOSE to NOT automatically renew my subscription and today that day came. And now that day is done.
Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087,
One of the profiles in your request https://www.geni.com/search/matches?id=6000000001528915062&src=... is a master profile curated by Private User. May be he can do the merge for you. I'm hesitant doing any merges in a tree I'm not familiar with a MP profile curated by someone else.
Hi Cynthia,
Basic users can merge but you cannot use the merge centre functionality to find the duplicate profile as that is pro membership functionality.
Geni’s basic (Free) membership is probably one of the best that I have seen on many platforms. There are lots of advantages to having a pro membership.
Leanne
Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087: you are experiencing the same issues as I did when I dropped back to basic membership. Merging is still possible by (somehow) finding profile for duplicate, and then using merge functionality in Actions menu on profile page. But how to find duplicate in the first place ... google search by name with "geni" in search string, then click search result to go directly to duplicate profile ... at least this was the suggestion to me a few days ago. But it's a pain to do this after getting used to using Merge Center, and I still question the logic of $100+ annual fee to be able to find and merge dups quickly using pro tools. After all, cleaning the tree helps everyone, and charging for use of merge center functions seems counter-productive somehow.
Searching with Google may work better if you add site:geni.com/people to your search instead of just geni
There are other ways as well:
If the family name is not very common you can see what profiles there are for that name from https://www.geni.com/search/surname_index
You can see if you can find the profile of the manager and contact that manager.
If you can collaborate you will be able to use the Geni search screen for those profiles.
1) UNDO https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=74643270470
2) read page 104 for a cutting graft point.
