Sir Edward Austen - Wrong mother

The parents For Edward Austen are wrong..according to someone who has done their research, I received the following message...."There are NO Edwards born to Robert & Mary Oliver. After thorough research and discussions with 3 English genealogists my Edward Austen stays with Judith Freke." So judging by her in-depth research, The mother of Edward Austen should be Judith Freke, and not Mary Oliver

Been checking this out and I think there are 2 different families being mixed up here with their Edward Austen sons:

Family 1: has Sir Robert Austen 1st Baronet b1580 begat: Col Robert Austen b1642 married Judith Freke begat another Col Robert Austen b1670 married Jane Strode begat Sir Edward Austen 6th Baronet b1705.

Family2: Robert Austen b1628 married Anne Siger and begat Robert Austin b1659 married Mary Oliver begat Edward Austin b1686 married Elizabeth Vane, daughter of George Vane and Hester.

When I did the master profiles the parents were as per the curators notes

Changes and merges have been subsequently made

It’s you look at the revisions on Elizabeth Vane you can see the disconnects made by Private User followed by changes to birth and death dates

If you reverse all the merges on Edward and his parents you will probably see similar changes to them

I have reversed the merges and restored the profiles to their original values.

son Edward Austen born 1678

Judith Freke Judith FREKE 1646-1716
Col Robert Austen, MP 1642-1696
son Edward Austen Edward AUSTEN born 1687

The same user also made changes to the wives of the Edwards which I have now reversed

Elizabeth Vane Elizabeth VANE 1683-1747 daughter of Sir Lionel Vane and Catherine Vane
married Edward AUSTEN son of Robert and Judith

Elizabeth Austen Elizabeth VANE 1691-1743 daughter of Sir George Vane and Hester Vane married Edward AUSTEN son of Robert and Mary

Thanks so much Leanne!! That looks much better. There is one other smaller change that I can't correct as it's locked. Robert Austen 1628-1697 died in Tenterden, Kent, England. I've just uploaded to records to show christening and burial in England. If you wouldn't mind correcting this, that would be great. Thank for your help!!! Cheers, Kathy

I think I have Robert Austin's tree straightened out. There were 2 Robert Austins, with similar dates of birth.
