John Chapman, Sr. - Too many children?

Likely to need sorting between two wives.

And if they are all correct, can we get them MP'd and locked?

John married Nancy Ann Whitehead in 1757 and fathered eight children, all born in Amelia County.

They were:

John "Jack" Chapman, Sr
James Chapman
Stephen Chapman
Benjamin Chapman
Nancy Ann Chapman
Sarah "Sally" Chapman
William Chapman
Jane Chapman

Nancy Ann (Whitehead) Chapman died in 1798 in Amelia County about the age of 62.

After Nancy died in 1798 John remarried to Oney League on December 18, 1799 and fathered one more son, Jonathan Chapman.
