It will take some untangling but it appears the FINDAGRAVE memorial for one William Terry is bleeding information into a different family line.

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/65291212/william-terry is the one that mentions this line and these wives but also has listed a daughter which FAMILY on Geni is saying is not correct and is the daughter of a different William Terry, namely this one:William Terry

Thankfully the Geni user has messaged me in response to a message I sent out over a year ago and I was able to ask for and get an unmerge. I am presently trying to clean up any overspill from one profile to another due to the merge and I am asking that if a curator is available, perhaps some of these profiles can be curated and relationship locked in order to prevent any continued or further confusion.
Also, once the dust is settled, it would be a good idea to request the wrong child be removed and rehomed from the FAG memorial

The whole "Trapper" Terry is bleeding into lines where there is evidence there cannot be a fit, through DNA, location events, etc.

There is no evidence for any of lines of a William Terry with a wife Keziah Hale. There is no evidence of a Rachel Moredock, etc.

I still can't understand how my line - the one I built and was working on - was co-opted by :"corrections: that I do not support and have not been proven. I want to have my tree removed.

I am so confused. I traced my line back to William Terry and Cheepoake Harris. So How do I untangle this?

I did quite a bit of work cleaning up the Terry branches ... guided mostly by FamilySearch.org (which has reasonable records). Please check your lines, particularly for any DNA conflicts. Any profile I 'touched' should have a SmartCopy "reference" in the About.

There were a fair number of 'splitting' of siblings across multiple wives (where Geni had one, e.g. maybe based on a census, but some of those where step-children of an earlier wife).
