Private User is there a reason you did this?

Richard Ball records that
Dorothea Esterhuijsen
born 1726 baptized 14 April 1726, Stellenbosch

was mentioned in the Inventory drawn up after her mother's death as 'haar voordogter dorothea Esterhuijs oud 18 jaren bev[oorens] buijte Egt verwekt'

There seems to be no proof that her father was Jan Andries Esterhuysen, b3

The father was originally written on Dorothea's profile as "Unknown Esterhuijsen" by "GENI" on Dec 30 2010. That profile was subsequently merged with Jan Andries Estherhuysen (Jan-Andries-Esterhuysen-b3/6000000001874386025) by Herman Booysen on 13 May 2020/
Perhaps that's how the confusion happened?

Aha. That sounds likely. Thanks for spotting. Herman Booysen -did new info come to light, perhaps?

Dorothea 10 years old in 1746 not 18
Just checked original Death / will/probate of her mother , surname there allready also Esterhuizen

Sharon Doubell - no, I don't have new information. At the time, I was working on the Campher tree and the change of Dorothea's father was consequential to the merging of the two profiles of Jan Andries Esterhuysen. I would be happy for the mistake to be corrected.

A missing son Adriaan van Wik baptised April 1745 in Ball Famiky History

Jan Andries Esterhuizen as her father on familysearch but no proof there.

Phillipp - from Johanna Campher's inventory (1746)
"nog ten behoeve van haar voordogter Dorothea Esterhuijsen oud 18 jaren bevoorens buijten egt
verwekt"
(But baptised 1726... so...actually older?)

(Correcting my earlier post, now deleted.) Some of the stuff on the FamilySearch trees is odd. I had a look at Dorothea Esterhuizen's info, and she had a third "husband" incorrectly attached. (He had married a Dorothea van Wyk and they baptised a child in 1753 - the same year that Dorothea E and her husband (Mijndert Claasen) baptised a child). So I removed the "marriage" and disconnected the child.
From information given by Phillipp Weyers above, Dorothea E was not married to Roelof van Wyk, named as the father of her first child (Adriaan).

Think again error with transcription : death of wife Anna / Johanna Francina Jansz/ Jansen in 1782.

We must find original and look at it .

I just get empty page with link to TAB/Mooc databases

Hi Sharon - one small thing - Dorothea's profile still shows van Wyk as a married name. I'm not one of the managers and can't alter it.

Thx Beverly- I removed van Wyk.
