Related several ways through Duck, Carter, Page and Starling families.
Starling family were a seafaring family originally from Blakeney, Norfolk. Later relocated to South Shields, Co Durham when Blakeney port silted up in the mid c19th.
Thomas Page married into my Muir Family. He was a mariner, died Chennai in 1868. He was a descendant of the Duck family, seafarers in Whitby. The Ducks were ancestors of the Flecks.
One relative was named James Cook Carter, a Cpt James Cook relative through Margaret Carter (Cook), Cpt James Cook's sister, I believe. JCC married a daughter of Samuel Emerson Starling, a first cousin of mine descended from a shared ancestor, sea captain Samuel Stsrling (of Blakeney).
