Has anyone experienced that after reviewing profile for one person and then shifting to a new person, you suddenly end up with one profile for the new and one old?
Iv twice had that problem, at present i have a profile for Joanna Edgecomb in the left side comparing to a profile of Isaac Bigelow the last time (two days ago) it was also a female and a male profile. Unaware i thought that it was a bad sac i was in, but after removing 8 or 9 profiles i got suspicious and closed down and restarted. It seems to happen when merging a request from the link in the e-mail, and then going to the next e-mail request.
At present i cant merge joanna Edgecomb, because whatever i do i get Isaac Biglow as the second profile. I just completed a merge of Isaac Biglow! Whats wrong??

I have also had the same problem, it's happen when I was merging a request from the link in the e-mail. I turn of the computer, and started it again. But the problem was still there.

I have not experienced that particular problem

I'd merge only in Geni. Going through multiple coding trains is never a good idea.

I only use Geni, but i still encounter the problem when answering requests i receive through e-mail.

I only use Geni, but have had this problem sometimes like Mr.M.Lancaster.

And again, this time with a request from the Geni site.

The compare/xxx?to=yyy method is used for manually merge two profiles and you can combine any profiles that way, - and a usual way to make errors.

Don't ever try to execute the links you have posted because they will cause two different people to be merged.

Geni would never send out such requests.

The links i have posted have all generated themselves while comparing other profiles. Normally the right profile is the profile im reweaving, then after requesting a merge or preforming a merge the left profile turns up when the program advances to the next set of profiles. At no point have i tried to compare the different profiles. The problem has been sent to the help disk and these profiles are only in case that they want more to review. But having encountered profiles in trees that are neither male nor female, i speculate if this is a deliberate choice of the manager or the result of a mix up in merging? The different profiles seem to be concentrated on one female and one male, and is usually a profile theta i have reviewed some time before. Its not because my computer retains information because last time it happened i had turned it completely of, and re booted.

Michael,
have you contacted help@geni.com about this? They are usually reasonably helpful.

Yes they are looking at it, i only post these examples for them to look at if they need more.
