Abigail Park

Abigail Horton was born about 1662. Abigail was adopted & raised by Barnabas Horton and Mary Langton. Source documentation for that relationship has yet to be found.[1]

This Abigail was not the wife of Charles Booth, as stated in Horton Genealogy or Chronicles of the Descendants of Barnabas Horton, of Southold, L. I., 1640 compiled by Geo. F. Horton, M. D. That has been disputed in the sources of Torrey and Lucy D. Akerly listed below and in other sources. Abigail Mapham, the daughter of John Mapham and Mary Hampton, and the granddaughter of James and Jane Hampton of Southampton, was the wife of Charles Booth.
