About Abraham Gish
Abraham was the most famous line, one of his descendents was Oliver Holmes Gish (Science), and Lillian and Dorothy Gish, Harold S. and Wesley Gish (military). Many of this branch also moved to Abilene, Kansas from Pa. J. I. Hamaker (author of White Oak- The Gish Family History, written in 1940.

Abraham Gisch is the son Johann Mathias Gisch. What graves are still around for the first couple of generations the name on the stone is spelled Gisch. Abraham Gisch married Susanna Kuhns abt 1766 Lancaster Co, Pa
In 1774 Abraham bought 140 acres in Mt Joy Twp, Lancaster Co near his father in law Jacob Kuhns. He sold this land in 1786. He moved to Donegal Twp. He died young in 1789 at the age of 45. Only one of his children was of age.
His three oldest sons recieved the farm and a small house was built by the spring for Susanna. 30 Dec 1789 is a death date a lot of the people are using here.
