24 October 1573: Charter by which James VI, King of Scots, confirms possession of the forty shilling lands called Burnesyd, located in the parish of Dundonald in the Kyle-Stewart division of Ayrshire, to John Wallace of Dundonald and his wife Agnes Stewart. The land is to be held by them in conjunct fee and liferent, and by their lawful male heirs in feu ferme, whom failing to John's heirs and assignees. RMS, 1546-80: 2149
