- Amelia lived in widowhood 36 years. Her nephew Ambrose, remembered Aunt Amelia as one of the sweetest ladies around. She loved to show them her tea garden and explain what each tea was good for. Amelia ate an onion a day. - She had 10 children, 65 grandchildren, 300 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren - a total of over 400 descendents. - At age 99, she broke her hip on Sept 21.
