Biography

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ayers-1264

Yanakee / Anica Ayers was born about 1745. She passed away about 1811. She was the 2nd wife of Thomas "Trader" Payne and the mother of 8 of his children. There is some evidence that she may have been born a Quaker, but no one knows for sure yet. She was a member of the "Chauga Baptist Church" in Oconee County, South Carolina. There is some speculation that she may have been married to a John Payne, brother to Thomas Payne, before she was married to Thomas.

1. Thomas (Payne) with wife Yanake/Anica who first appears in Hx Co in 1760 where he , William Payne and Nathaniel AYERS laid a road. Yanake's maiden name was Ayers. Thomas moved to Wilkes Co [NC, I think, but maybe GA] in 1778. Will of Nathaniel Ayers of Halifax Co 1777 mentions Daughter Yanake Payne.

There are also 5 members in Group 2 with ancestry in Spain, France, Greece and Czech. There are also three U5b3b* members with ancestry in central Italy, Scotland, and Norway. It's interesting that U5b3b3 is found so widely distributed in Europe given its relatively young age estimate.
