ANN YORK (MARKLE)

There remains no evidence to suggest Ann was a daughter of Andrew Markle and Elizabeth Cook.

According to the Andrew Cook Genealogy, only three daughters were known to Andrew and Elizabeth Markle. Ann York is not mentioned. I believe this profile is not consistent with published findings.

NOTE: Despite repeated efforts to identify a confident connection between ANN YORK and the parentage cited; I have not been able to substantiate the relationship. There are related Burial references - but none that identify a maiden name. A couple bearing the same names [Thomas & Annie York] appear on the 1871 Canada Census numerically subsequent enumeration of Andrew and Elizabeth Markle....but that is as close thus far as I have come to any context sharing these names.
