About Anne Lund Gilbertson
From an uncited newspaper published 1971, obtained from the Stanwood Obituary Project: Anne M. Gilbertson, 65, of Stanwood, passed away suddenly October 28 in Julesburg, Colorado, while returning from a trip to Wisconsin. She was born Janurary 11, 1906, in Aberdeen, coming to the Stanwood area about 1909. She was married June 1, 1929 at Conway and resided in the Stanwood area where she and her husband operated the Gilbertson Hardware Store until their retirement in 1964. She was a member of Our Savor's Lutheran Church in Stanwood. Survivors include her beloved husband, Otto; one daughter, Mrs. Annette Bowden of Stanwood; two sons, Carroll of Titusville, Fla., and Loren of Stevens Point, Wis.; her mother Mrs. Pernille Lund of Stanwood; one sister, Mrs. James (Marion) Hendershot of Stanwood; eight brothers, Harold, Eugene, Gordon and Arthur Lund, all of the Stanwood area, Selmer Lund of San Francisco, Raymond Lund of Hawaii, Palmer Lund of Arlington and Oscar Lund of Sedro Woolley; there are also nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 2, at Our Savior's Church of Stanwood with Pastor Raymond Brandt officiating. Interment was in the Anderson Cemetery under the direction of Tiffany's Gunderson Funeral Home...
