From an obitury obtained from the Camwood Obituary Project from an uncited newspaper printed 7 Dec 1967: Palmer S. Lund, Sr., 55 of Arlington, died December 4, suddenly in Everett. He was born Sept. 4, 1916 in Stanwood and attended Stanwood schools. He had lived in the Arlington area for the last 25 years, and was an employee of the Twin City Food Company of Stanwood. He was a veteran of WW II, past comander of Arlington Post No. 76 of American Legion, a member of the United Congregational Church of Arlington, a Charter Member of Evergreen Sons of Norway and the Norwegian Male Chorus, a member of the Arlington Kiwanis Club, Mount Vernon Elks Lodge and the Forty et Eight Voiture 505. He leaves his wife Irene, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Hagenston and Leila Dempsey, both of Arlington; a son Stan Lund of Edmonds; his mother Mrs. Pernille Lund, of Stanwood; a sister, Mrs. Marian Hendershot, of Stanwood; seven brothers, Harold Gordon, Eugene and Arthur, all of Stanwood, Oscar of Sedro Woolley, Raymond, of Maui, Hawaii, and Selmer, of San Francisco, Calif.; two grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Anne Gilbertson, recently preceded him in death. Services were held Tuesday, December 7 in the United Congregational Church, Arlington. Interment, under the direction of Weller Funeral Home, was in Arlington Cemetery...
