Aquilla Reese was born in 1716 in Plumstead, Pennsylvania, the only child of Joseph Reese and Rebecca Reynolds. On February 20, 1736, she married Robert Lowther in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She [supposedly] died as a young mother in 1747 in Virginia, at the age of 31.* In fact, she may have died between 1757 and 1763.
Her family came to America with William Penn. Aquilla was disavowed for leaving the Quaker faith. Died at Hacker's Creek.
- Note: Two of her sons, Joseph and Joel were supposedly born circa 1756, so either the year of her death must be wrong or these were not her children.
