1851 census put him with family at 51 Keith Street, Stornoway. Occupation was
Wheelwright. Not there in 1861, In 1871 he was back at 51 Keith Street,
married with 3 children, occupation now Joiner & Blockmaker. 3 families at no.
51, him, his brother Roderick, and his father.
In 1881 he is still there, his father & mother gone, brothers James and Donald
there with their families.
In 1891, he had moved, along with brother James and family, to 65 Keith
Street. He had become self employed, a Joiner & Turner. Probably in business
with James, who was also a self-employed Turner.
