Benjamin L. Boggs was born April 29, 1810. He settled on the land where now is located the Bolling Green Airport at Sutton. He later moved to just below Frametown on Elk River. He was married to Jane Cutlip on March 22, 1829 and was the father of the following: Perry (died in infancy), Henry (died in the service of Virginia Mounted Infantry), William N., Mary, Susan, Rebecca, Caroline, Virginia and Harriet.

"Benjamin Lemasters Boggs is buried in the Abel Cunningham Cemetery on Lower Mill Creek right above the rest stop in the interstate. The stones for Benjamin and his wife were in the possession of Blanche Reip. The cemetery was unfenced and the cows were destroying the stones. The survey map in deed book 16-483, 23 Dec 1882 shows 280 acres from the heirs of Benjamin L Boggs to William N Boggs on Elk River upstream from and adjacent to B. F. Cunningham." - Tom Miller
