Bertha Lucretia Wetzel

Mrs. Bertha L Wetzel, 83, died at 8:20 this morning at the home of a son, Raymond, Orrtanna R1. She had been in declining health for several years. She was a native of Franklin Twp. and was a daughter of Andrew and Nancy Gallagher Lochbaum. Her husband, Harvey J Wetzel, died 38 years ago. Mrs. Wetzel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Fairfield. Surviving are two children; Raymond, at whose home she died, and Mrs. Allen Deardorff, Cashtown; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Spence, Gettysburg, seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Bender Funeral Home here with her supply pastor, the Rev. Dr. M.R, Hamsher, Gettysburg, officiating. Interment will be made in Flohr's Cemetery near McKnightstown.
