Biography

Solomon Munson was born to Samuel and Martha (Farnes) Munson, in Wallingford, Connecticut, February 18, 1690.

Solomon married first, Mary Moss, June 28, 1714, in Wallingford, Connecticut.<ref name="jacobus"/> They had the following children in Wallingford:

  • Martha, b September 14, 1715
  • Samuel, b September 15, 1717
  • Eliasaph, b November 17, 1719

Solomon removed to Morristown, New Jersey, apparently after at least his first three children were born in Wallingford.

He married second, Tamar (unknown), born about 1701, died January 17, 1779. Solomon and Tamar were married sometime before Aug 13, 1742 when they were recognized as being members of the Presbyterian Church in West Hanover.

Solomon died in 1773, likely in Morristown, New Jersey and is buried at the First Presbyterian Churchyard.
