Charlotte Tsalot Wah-na Vickery

Charlotte was a Cherokee.woman

Clan: Ani'-Ga'tâge'wi = Kituah or Wild Potato (Sonicooie)

Charlotte was born about 1792 to Thomas Cordery and his full-blood Cherokee wife, Susannah, also known as Sonicooie.

She married Henry Vickery. According to Shadburn, amongst the Cherokees, the Vickerys were known as Wah-na meaning Hickory. Charlotte was called Tsalot Wah-na. [1]Their children were Annie, Jennie, Charles, Mary, Sarah, John, Lucy and Susan. Charlotte also had a daughter after Henry's death by an unknown partner. That daughter was known as Martha Ann Vickery.

Charlotte moved permanently to the Cherokee Nation in Indian Territory in 1881 and died there in 1883.
