Cordelia G. Heath (Dodge)

Cordelia G. Dodge, b. at Newcastle, Me., 22 May, 1825; m. 16 April, 1846, William Heath, b. in Jefferson, 18 January, 1816, and d. at Newcastle. 5 February, 1892. The homestead built by Col. Paul in 1778, descended from Washington Dodge to his youngest daughter, Cordelia G. The house stands on a level piece of land; to the northwest rises a steep hill whose top commands a charming view; to the southeast the ground slopes to the banks of the Damariscotta river, about a half mile wide at this point. Travelers say that nowhere in Maine are to be found more lovely views than along the Damariscotta river. Mr. Heath was son of Samuel Heath, a farmer of Jefferson in the same county, and was himself a farmer and ship-carpenter. Their children, all born in Newcastle, were:

i. Emma Frances Heath, b. 14 May, 1847; d. 15 June, 1893; m. Wm. F. Morgan, 13 May, 1872, and (2) Frederic A. Forsaith, Oct., 1890.

ii. Edward Cutter Heath, b. 26 Nov., 1848; d. 19 Oct., 1866.

iii. Richard Dodge Heath, b. 20 Feb., 1850; m. Ella C. Kenney of Boston, 20 Oct., 1880.

iv. Angie Harvena Heath, b. 22 Aug., 1858; lives with her mother,

v. Harvey Angelo Heath, b. 5 Jan., 1863; m. Annie B. Feltes of Bristol, 6 Oct , 1866; res. at Damariscotta, Me.

vi. Robert Bickford Heath, b. 29 April., 1867; d. 19 Aug., 1867.
