29 May 1554: Assignation by Andrew Cardinar to Cuthbert Ramsay, burgess of Edinburgh, of letters of reversion by Dionysius Pentland, son of deceased Alexander Pentland in Keringtoun, and Elizabeth Ramsay, his spouse, in respect of the 40 shilling lands of Weitlandis in the barony of Mordingtoun, a markland in Mordingtoun, two marklands in the east end thereof and three marklands of Baxter's Landis with a cotland in the barony of Foulden. Cuthbert Ramsay, Captain of Crichton, Burgess & Magistrate of Edinburgh married Agnes Stewart, daughter of Sir James Stewart, 1st Earl of Buchan, Lord Auchterhouse, Sheriff of Angus, Banff, & Forfarshire, High Chamberlain of Scotland, Ambassador to France and Margaret, before 13 December 1549.[2]

Cuthbert Ramsay, Captain of Crichton, Burgess & Magistrate of Edinburgh died after 1 February 1582.[3]
