2 June 1648: Charter by the Commissioners of James, Duke of Lennox and Richmond, to Sir William Lockhart of Carstairs, Kt., and Dame Mary Carmichael, his spouse, in liferent, and to James Lockhart, their eldest son, in fee, of the lands of Stracfrank, Columbie and Kallis, and Hoill of Hosplat, in the barony of Carstairs, and also to said Sir William in liferent, and said James in fee, of the lands of Ryflet and Scheddishill and remaining lands of the barony of Carstairs, with mill and mill lands thereof and the office of bailiary of the said barony.
