Seaborn Burt Property Conveyence to brother Daniel Burt
"Know all men by these presents that I Seaborn Burt of Ridgefield in the County Of Fairfield and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in Consideration of the Sum of Ninety pounds New York money in hand Received of my brother Daniel Burt of said Ridgefield, which is to my full satisfaction have Given Granted Bargained Sold and by these presents Do freely fully and absolutely sell convey and confirm unto him the said Daniel Burt and to his heirs and assigns forever, a Certain tract of Land Lying in said Ridgefield at 4 degree Calf Meadow so called Containing twenty Eight Acres and Seventy pole Bounded Northerly by Land of ("my father" scratched out) Benjamin Burt (Jun?) East and West by the Land of my father Benjamin Burt and Southerly by the land of Martin Keeler and highway with a dwelling house standing thereon, to have and to hold said granted and bargained premises with all the privileges and appertenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining. I say I have Sold and fully made over the same unto him the said Daniel Burt and to his and their Sole and propper use and benefit as a free Estate of Inheritance, ("in for simple"?), Who Shall and may forever hereafter by virtue hereof enter upon, possess and enjoy the same; Convey, convert, alienate and improve it in what way and manner to what use and end so ever he the said Daniel Burt his heirs and assigns Shall See Convienient. Furthermore I the said Seaborn do for myself heirs do hereby Covenant and agree to warrant and defend the same unto him the said Daniel Burt and to his heirs and assigns forever from me my heirs Executors administrators or any manner of person whatsoever. Laying any lawful Claim Challenge or Demand thereunto in testimony whence i do herunto Set my Hand and seal this 12th Day of March Anno Domini 1749/50. Signed, Sealed and delivered In presence of
