Daniel Hubbard, of Guilford

Daniel Hubbard was baptized in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut in May 1644. He was baptized the same day as his sisters Abigail and Hannah. Their parents, George Hubbard and Mary Bishop, had moved to Milford in 1639, with George admitted to the Milford church on February 15, 1643. The family was dismissed from the Milford church on October 6, 1650 due to moving to Guilford.

Some trees give Daniel's birthdate as May 26, 1644, which might be his precise baptism date. It was common at the time for parents to wait up to a few years before baptizing their children, so the baptism date alone cannot be used to determine Daniel's birthdate.

On November 17, 1664, Daniel married Elizabeth Jordan in Guilford.

Although Daniel was likely interred in Guilford's original village cemetery (now the commons and public park in downtown Guilford), no surviving gravestone was known in 1818 when all gravestones at the Village Green, but not the people's remains, were dispersed to other town cemeteries.
