Served in the Virginia Army in the Revolutionary War, including time at Valley Forge as a Corporal and then as a Serjeant training the new US Army with the new manual of Gen. Von Steuben.
He died shortly before his Will was presented 10-27-1794.
He was perhaps buried in Orange.
