About Desire Burrows
Baptized May 9, 1697, at the First Church of New London, Conn. David Avery says that she married Jeremiad Burrows. Jeremiah Burrows, son of John and Hannah (Culver) Burrows. Jeremiah was baptized at the First Church of Stonington, Conn., June 22, 1690. Jeremiah Burrows spoke of his loving brother, Ens. John Avery, June 17, 1721 (Groton Deeds, 1:578). Ensign John Avery was the brother of Desire Avery. Jeremiah Burrows's name is found in deeds as late as Jan. 17, 1739. No record of any children has been found.
