About Edward John Dowding
He served as a navigator for the Royal Air Force during World War II. He trained to become a teacher at Eastbourne Training College and had a teaching job in Bexhill before emigrating to New South Wales, Australia, on the 30th January 1950, where he became the headmaster of Baker's College.
