He moved his family to Scipioville, Cayuga County, New York in 1799 - Auburn (NY) Journal November 28, 1877.
On December 29, 1798, Edward Palmer was deeded land in Milton (Genoa) then in Onondaga County. On June 8, 1804, Edward Palmer of Milton wasdeeded land in that town. On October 5, 1811, Edward of Genoa was deeded land in Genoa by Abijah and Clarinda Palmer, also of Genoa. The will of Edward Palmer is dated March 21, 1832, and probated November 30, 1848, in which he called himself "farmer" and mentioned his wife Anna and all of his children and two grandchildren of his deceased daughter Julia. - PFIA
