Biography

Nathaniel resided his entire life in Greenwich in the Stanwich section. He received land from his father Samuel at various times and on Sept. 7, 1823, he and his wife Rachel joined the Second Congregational Church which was located at Stanwich. Nathaniel and wife Rachel, and allof the children except Stephen, were buried in the Union Church cemetery in Stanwich. The name of his wife is given as Marshall, but descendants have stated the correct name was Marchele, the father Isaac M. having been born in Paris, France. - PFIA
Although PFIA gives his marriage in March 1794, a 1913 letter from hisgrandson, Stephen Albert Palmer, to Dr. Byron Palmer of Palmyra, New York, who complied many of the records which became PFIA, says March 1796.
