Complete Order Book 1, page 92, 14 December 1853, Order to sell real estate - Shelby County, Indiana. THE children were nine in all; one of whom was John Cotton, b Sept 5, 1787, died April 17, 1874, married Elizabeth Bray, daughter of John Bray. This couple had six children, several of whome were born in Switzerland County, IND. However, Susannah Cotton, who married Merit McKay was not one of these children. She is a daughter of an entirley different Cotton [and] THEY ARE NOT REMOTELY RELATED.
