Ellender Eleanor Broyles (2) was named after her mother, Ellender Eleanor Broyles (1). Ellender (2) was a daughter of James Broyles and Ellender Broyles and they are all Descendants of the Germanna Second Colony of Virginia of 1717.
Ellender (2) Broyles was married twice. She first married Leroy T. "L. T." Irving on October 15, 1840 in Washington County, Tennessee. They had one son, James Irving (1842-1929).
Ellender (2) married her second husband, George Washington Gates (1806-1878) on September 23, 1845 in Macon County Missouri. They were the parents of the following:
Ellender Eleanor Broyles Irving Gates died on September 28, 1891 in Plainview, Macon County, Missouri. She is buried in Steele Cemetery, Plainview, Macon County, Missouri. The Find A Grave Memorial lists Eleanor Broyles Gates has a headstone photo.
