About Elmer Wilbur Fittery
6 Oct 1961: Word was received in Lebanon today of the death of Elmer W. Fittery, 38, of Redondo Beach, Calif., last Sunday night. Death was due to injuries received in an automobile accident. A native of Lebanon County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. and Lillie Rutter Fittery, of Mt. Aetna, and had resided in Redondo Beach for the past 15 years. He attended Myerstown public schools and was a graduate of Myerstown High School. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S.A.A.F. for four and one half years. He was employed as an aircraft factory worker. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mary Ware Fittery; and three children, Elmer W., Jr.; Julenna; and David, all at home; and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Earla Zellers, of the Water Works; Mrs. Lavena Clay, of Mt. Aetna; Warren, of Detroit, Mich.; Howard, of Jonestown; Mrs. Grace Miller, of Mt. Aetna; Mrs. Mae Zimmerman, of Mt. Aetna; and Mrs. Ruth Brown, of Mt. Aetna; and Clyde Rutter, of Georgia.
