''''''Eva Hollar Bonds''''''
Eva Hollar Bonds, 92, of 1010 Buick Ave., died Monday,
Sept. 12, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Whitleys Funeral Home
Chapel, Kannapolis, with the Rev. David Hayes officiating. Interment will
be at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Whitleys
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bonds was born March 11, 1913, in Yadkin County the daughter of the
late James C. Hollar and the late Kuselann Wilcox Hollar. She retired from
Cannon Mills Company Plant No. 4 after 46 years. She was a Charter member
of First Evangelical Methodist Church where she had been active in various
church activities in her earlier years including Sunday school teacher and
member of the Senior Citizen Club.
Mrs. Bonds was preceded in death by her husband William C. Bonds who died
in 1977.
Survivors include three sons, James H. Bonds of Charlotte, Merle D. Bonds
and Gerald B. Bonds both of Kannapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Lorene Taylor of
Concord; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Eddleman of Yadkinville; nine
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
The family headquarters will be at the home.
Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Methodist Church, c/o Building
Fund, 301 Prince St., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
Whitleys Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
