About Franz Oliver Rüdiger Grünwald
Franz Oliver Gruenwald sometimes used the surname "Rudiger". He became a newspaper correspondent and was also a business partner with his brother Lothar. During World War II, he was living in Milano, Italy, when, as "Francesco Oliviero Grunwald", he was arrested (in Milano) on 20 April 1944 and deported to the transit camp of Fossoli. He was later sent to Auschwitz, and was murdered there on 23 May 1944, age 61 years.
