Friederich Kerchner (1750-1828), aka Frederick Kerchner, Rev. War militiaman, is the only known son of the immigrant Adam Kerchner and his wife Anna Barbara (maiden name unknown). The immigrant Adam Kerchner arrived in PA in 1741 on the ship Thane of Fife. His son Frederick Kerchner was born in PA in 1750 but exactly where is unknown. This Frederick Kerchner was married to Anna Barbara Fetterman. Frederick Kerchner served in the Berks County Militia during the Revolutionary War and there is a soldier's marker and flag on his grave to commemorate his service. For more details on this Frederick Kerchner and his family and descendants see: http://www.kerchner.com/des922.htm

Research note: There is another Frederick Kerchner (c1724-c1808) who arrived in PA in 1751 on the ship Brothers. He sojourned briefly in Berks Co PA but then migrated west and died in Bedford Co PA. YDNA testing of descendants of these two Kerchner lines proves the immigrant ancestors were related but exactly how is unknown.
