George Frazier was born in North Carolina and was a farmer and stock raiser. He was at the Battle of Cowpens and Guilford Courthouse during the Revolutionary War. A George Frazier is listed as a lieutenant serving under George Washington. An inducement to men to serve in the Revolutionary War was the promise of free land. The provisions eventually stipulated 100 acres be granted to each enlisted man. The land entries for Randolph County, NC, show a George Frazier being issued an acreage in 1790 and 1792.
