About Harry Bernard Snyder
Harry was the son of Frederick William Snyder, Jr., and Mary Moyer Snyder (nee Lithgow). He married Ida Madeline Snyder somewhere around 1935 and had two daughters with her: Carol and Barbara. Later in life, after his father died of a congenital valvular heart problem, Harry's mother came to live with him and his young family. Harry's daughter Carol has fond memories of this period.
When Harry's brother David Snyder fell out of a rumple seat and was killed at age 21, this accident reportedly traumatized Harry for his entire life.
