"The following obituary comes from "The News-Herald," December 29, 1972, Page 16, Column 2:
“Henry Anthony
Henry B. Anthony of Pleasantville RD 2 died in the Titusville Hospital Thursday morning.
He was born May 29, 195 in Venango County, the son of James and Ella Westfall Anthony.
Mr. Anthony worked for many years as an oil well driller for L. P. Melate. In later years he had been associated with the trucking business. He had lived all his life in the Titusville area.
Survivors include his wife, the former Nellie Snyder, and the following children: Mrs. Rue (Helen) Pratt of Titusville; Mrs. Harlan (Irene) Hicks of Pleasantville; Mrs. Harry (Barbara) Gold of Kennerdell RD1; Mrs. George (Shelly) Crippen of Tidioute; Mrs. Ronald (Bliss) Schenberg of Hydetown; Mrs. Clifford (Patti) Smith of Spartansburg RD2; and Chester Anthony at home. Twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson also survive.
Other survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Jenny Vanderhoff of Centerville; Mrs. Edith Walters of Pleasantville RD 2; Charles Anthony, Ernest Anthony and James Anthony, all of Pleasantville; Robert Anthony of Titusville, Earl Anthony of Monroe, Ohio; Mrs. Ella Vargason of Titusville; and Mrs. Lillian Hart of Diamond; several nieces and nephews and one half-sister, Mrs. Sarah Howe of Harborcreek.
Two daughters, a son, and a granddaughter preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Raymond W. Arnold Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. William Lamey of the St. Petersburg Baptist Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.”
