He next married Janet Adelia Phipps, whose sister Clara was married to his eldest brother, Lewis. Herbert and Delia were married in Washington township on September 14, 1904. They had only one child, who was delivered stillborn.
Herbert A. Gingrich, 70, who lived on a farm near Applegate, died on Nov. 21st, in his home, after a short illness.
Mr. Gingrich was born in Washington township on May 5, 1869, where he lived the greater part of his life. He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Adelia Phipps, one sister, Mrs. Loella Hubbell, of Carsonville, and a brother, Lee A. Gingrich, of Spokane, Wash. He was a man of Christian character and respected by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Pilgrim Holiness church in Applegate, Rev. L. R. Neff, pastor of the church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Cliff, of Port Huron, and Howard Mills, of Owosso. Burial was made in the Washington cemetery.

Herbert married Dara Goodall on July 1, 1896 at Carsonville, and with her had one child, a son named Raymond. Mother and infant both died in 1898.
