After his father recognised Venetian overlordship over Dalmatia [1000], Stjepan was sent as a hostage to Venice, where he married the Doge's daughter[99]. /!\ Treccani don't seem to distinguish two distinguished brothers, kings of Croatia, who both call their son Stjepan:
- Kresimir III
- Kralj Stjepan I (Stjepan III Dobroslav) Trpimirović, of Croatia = /!\ Hicela (Treccani-Wiki)
- Svetolav "Suronja"
- Stjepan Svetislavić = Hicela (MedLand-Geni)
- Stjepan Svetislavić = Hicela (MedLand-Geni)
Note: She was not married to Kralj Stjepan I (Stjepan III Dobroslav) Trpimirović, of Croatia, but she was married to Stjepan Svetislavić, the son of Svetislav "Suronja" Trpimirović, king of Croatia.
At wikipedia and Treccani source written wrong information, at MedLands is correct, she was married to Stjepan Svetislavić son of Svetislav "Suronja" Trpimirović, king of Croatia, a Kralj Stjepan I (Stjepan III Dobroslav) Trpimirović, of Croatia was married to Maria, daught. of Ban Stjepan. Two different person with the same name Stjepan were wrongly identified in both that sources.
