Survivors include four sons, Jerry Barker, Wheatland, WY., Paul Barker, Newcastle, WY., Allen Barker, Gillette, WY., and Roger Barker, Sturgis; three daughters, Barbara Woodard, Lodi, Calif., Linda Sampey, Republic, Wash., and Joyce Pfarr, Deadwood; three sisters, Vivian Strean, Molalla, Ore., Doris Robertson, Wilsonville, Ore., and Marjorie Freelove, Chula Vista, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
His wife, Edna, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. today and from 8 A.M. until service time Thursday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Services will be at 10 A.M. Thursday, April 7, at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Linda Grenz officiating. Burial, with military honors by Belle Fourche Honor Guard, will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
A memorial has been established to the Church of God Mission Fund.

Homer Berten Barker, 93, Sturgis, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at his residence in Sturgis.
Visitation was Wednesday from 8 A.M. until 6 P.M. and Thursday from 8 A.M. until service time at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 7, 2005, at 10 A.M. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Pastor Linda Grenz officiating. Burial with military honors was provided by the Belle Fourche Honor Guard and followed at Black Hills National Cemetery.
Homer was born Sept. 25, 1911, at Corning, Iowa, to Beach and Mary (Jenning) Barker. He grew up around Brooks and Corning, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his honorable discharge, he traveled to and lived in various places. Homer married Edna Klingman at Herrold, on Aug. 27, 1948. They ranched in the Faith and the Mobridge areas. They moved to Sturgis in 1961, where Homer worked in the maintenance department at Fort Meade for 15 years until his retirement.
Homer was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He was also a member of the NRA. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and trapping.
Survivors include four sons and their wives, Jerry and Annie Barker, Wheatland, WY., Paul and Carol Barker, Newcastle, WY., Allen Barker and Leanne, Gillette, WY., and Roger and Tami Barker, Sturgis; three daughters, Barbara and her husband Larry Woodard, Lodi, Calif., Linda Sampey and her special friend Mike Blumquest, Republic, Wash., and Joyce and her husband Randy Pfarr, Deadwood; three sisters, Vivian and her husband, Ken Strean, Molalla, Ore., Doris Robertson, Wilsonville, Ore., and Marjorie Freelove ChulaVista, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
His parents, his wife, four brothers, two sisters, one son Wayne, and one grandson preceded him in death.
