Beach Barker, 86, resident of Molalla, Oregon area the past 15 years, died at his home Sunday morning June 18, 1961 following a short illness. Mr. Barker was born in Corning Iowa on October 29, 1874 and has lived in Iowa prior on moving to Oregon. He was a member of the Molalla Community Baptist Church and a former member of the Farmers Union. Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Jennings, whom he married at Clarinda, Iowa on April 10, 1901, five sons and five daughters, Otho P. and Mrs. Vivian Strean both of Elwood, Oregon, Harold R. of Stevenson, Washington, Mrs. Beulah Kolk and Mrs. Verla Weaver, both of Denver, Colorado, Loyal W. and Homer B., both of Sturgis, South Dakota, Marvin M. of Great Falls, Montana, Mrs. Doris Ogburn of Molalla, OR; Mrs. Marjorie Freelove of Chula Vista, California; 42 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 brother, Theron Barker and W. B. Barker, both of Corning, Iowa. Rev. James officiated at services held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 23, 1961 at the Motello Chapel of Everhart and Kent with interment in Adams Cemetery, Molalla, Clackamas County, Oregon.
