Vivian Marie Strean

Vivian Marie Barker Strean, 89, passed away in Molalla Oregon on June 1, 2017. She was born in Corning, Iowa on July 8, 1927 to Beach and Mary Alice (Jennings) Barker. Vivian was born in Corning, Iowa on July 8, 1927 and moved to Oregon at the age of 19. She lived form many years in Colton, later moving to Molalla. Vivian married Kenneth Strean on July 21, 1949 in Molalla, Oregon. Vivian and Kenneth were married for 62 years, when he passed in 2011. She adored her family, her dear friends, and Foothills Church. She spent hours in her yard because of her love of flowers. Her years of work included, berry picking with the kids, where our work ethic was instilled, followed by working at a hatchery, plastics manufacturing and ended with her career at BLM seed orchard in Colton. She is survived by her children; Vickey West, Gary Strean and Debra Jenkins; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth. Visitation will be held at Molalla Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 12 pm to 1 pm, followed by a graveside service at Adams Cemetery.

Vivian was born in Nodaway Twp., Iowa on July 8, 1927 and moved to Oregon at the age of 19. She lived for many years in Colton, later moving to Molalla.

Vivian married Kenneth Strean on July 21, 1949 in Molalla, Oregon. Vivian and Kenneth were married for 62 years, when he passed in 2011.
