Inez May Marshall, prominent area resident, died at her home 4 miles north of the village late Tuesday afternoon, age 72, following a 3 week illness.
Mrs. Marshall was the widow of the late Louis Marshall who died June 16,1828.
She was born Dec. 14, 1869 to Jesse & Louisa Slaught VanHorn,at the Van Horn farm. She has lived in this vicinity her entire life.
She was married to Mr. Marshall Jan. 3, 1894. Mrs. Marshall was a member of the Leslie Baptist Church, and the Baptist Woman's Union and the Leslie Community Grange.
Surviving are 1 son, Don, of Leslie and 1 daughter, Mrs. Mae Markham, of Cadillac and 7 grandchildren.
Buried in Leslie Cemetery.
