Mrs. Iva Lou Gay Dies Here Sunday
Mrs. Iva Lou Gay, 89, died Sunday at the Dallas hospital. She had made her home at 211 Clay street for the past three years with her sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Maros and Mrs. Minnie Fitzgeralds. Mrs. Gay was born Aug. 1, 1869, in Cedar county Iowa, daughter of James D. and Hannah A. Dickinson. She married Charles Gay at Iowa City, Iowa, in 1892. The couple resided in South Dakota for many years. Mr. Gay died May 30, 1921. Mrs. Gay came to Oregon in 1949, residing at Sweet Home til 1955, when she came to Dallas. She was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Maros and Mrs. Fitzgeralds of Dallas, and Mrs. Millie Ridenour of Sioux Falls, So. Dakota, and one brother, James Dickinson, Falls City. There are several nieces and nephews. Services are being held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Bollman Funeral Chapel with burial in Dallas Cemetery.
