Jacob Coffman and his wife lie buried in the
Coffman Lot. Their tombstones have become so weather worn that no dates are discernible except Elizabeth Coffman's death July 1805.
Jacob Coffman's death is taken from the date of his Will, probate April 1796.
Records in Botetourt County, Virginia 1796
states James Breckenridge sold 1,000 acres in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to Jacob Coffman Sr.too which he gave his son Benjamin Franklin Coffman 600 acres, John Coffman 200 acres, daughter Fanny Coffman 200 acres and son Jacob Coffman Jr. received 360 acres of his father's Homestead Land in Botetourt County, Virginia.
Service in assisting in the establishment of American Independence during the Revolutionary War in 1776 .
