Jacob Green was born in 1767 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, the son of Joseph Green and Mary (McEntire) Green. He was the brother of William Green, Ann (Green) McAfee, Abraham Green, Isaac Green, Mary O. (Green) Duncan and Joseph Green

Jacob Green was an early settler and founder of Greensport, Alabama. Prior to migrating to Alabama, he served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Sourh Carolina and under Capt. Corbins Militia, Old Tryon (Rutherford) County North Carolina during the French and Indian Wars.

}}Jacob Green was born in 1767 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, the son of Joseph Green and Mary (McEntire) Green. He was the brother of William Green, Ann (Green) McAfee, Abraham Green, Isaac Green, Mary O. (Green) Duncan and Joseph Green
Jacob Green was an early settler and founder of Greensport, Alabama.<ref>[https://www.greensportrvpark.com/our-history#:~:text=%E2%80%9CGreen.... Greensport RV Park]</ref> Prior to migrating to Alabama, Jacob married Frances Sarah Acre. They had at least the following children:

  3. Susannah Green Wood (1805 - 1878)
  4. Lucissa Green Whisenant (1807 - 1889)
  5. Joseph b. 1791

  11. Jacob Ross b. 1810

Jacob died about 1840 in St Clair County, Alabama. He was buried at historic Hopewell Cemetery in Ashville, St. Clair County, Alabama, USA.

The inscription on his grave marker reads: :Pvt. SC Troops Revolutionary War<ref>Find A Grave Jacob Green Memorial# 9442186.</ref>Alabama Dept. Of Archives and History::GREEN, JACOB, b. 1767, buried in huge rock grave in Hopewell Church Cemetery, a few miles west of Gadsden, St. Clair County; lived in York District, S.C., later moved to St. Clair County, Alabama, in 1819.
